滙豐總行大廈，屬於香港上海滙豐銀行有限公司的總辦事處。大廈由英國建築師諾曼·福斯特 (Norman Foster) 設計。🇭🇰

大廈建造時廣泛採用嚟自英、美、日三國嘅預製組件。大廈成個設計嘅特色在於內部無任何支撐結構，可以自由拆卸🧱。所有支撐結構均設於建築物外部，使樓面實用空間更大。

其中一項標誌性嘅設計，就係外牆嘅三角形鋼架。佢哋唔係得個樣，而係好似吊橋咁🌁，利用拉力，為懸掛喺左右兩個梯狀鋼架上嘅鋼框提供支撐，更形成一個獨一無二嘅結構性設計。所以，大廈喺1983年建成時，係史上造價最貴嘅建築💰。

匯豐大廈地下有一個公共廣場，貫通德輔道中同皇后大道中。雖然中庭上面冚住多層嘅石屎同鋼架🔩，但大廈一內一外嘅兩塊大鏡將陽光反射到中庭入面，照亮咗中庭唔止，從而節省能源🌱。如果要搭𨋢上去，就先要搭喺廣場中間嘅兩條大型扶手電梯前往一樓中庭。但係啲𨋢都唔係層層停，所以如果想去其他樓層都係要搭返扶手電梯。由於地下廣場出入方便，佢都成為工人姐姐喺假期同周末熱門嘅聚會場所。

Designed by the British architect Norman Foster, the building has a modular design, which were prefabricated🧱 in the UK, the US, and Japan. In fact, the supporting structure is said to be able to be disassembled freely. One of the main characteristics of the building is its absence of internal supports🏛, making the usable floor space larger than the average office building. 

One of the building’s iconic structures are its triangular patterns🔺️. They are not just for show, but in fact act as support like in suspension bridges🌉 for each of the five steel modules hanging on the large steel frame, this allows for most floors to be supported from above under tension instead of from below. Though for this reason, when it was built in 1983, it was the most expensive building ever constructed.💰

On the ground floor, the HSBC Building has an open public atrium, which acts as a thoroughfare for pedestrians. Although covered by meters of concrete and steel above🔩, this atrium is unusually brightly lit, thanks to 2 large mirrors reflecting external sunlight 🌅 into the public space, conserving energy. Two large escalators take visitors up to the first floor where the elevator lobby is actually located. These elevators also only stop every several floors, and commutes between floors are made via escalators. Due to the ease of accessibility of the main atrium, it also became a commonplace of gatherings during holidays and weekends for foreign domestic helpers.🧕
