茵怡花園由房協發展，位於寶林貿泰路8號。第一至六座係居屋，第七座就保留做出租屋邨。茵怡花園由吳享洪建築師有限公司設計，糅合咗日照🌤、空氣對流💨、消減噪音🔉等環保建築新科技，盡用自然地理優點。喺設計時，建築師參考過日照測繪同風洞模擬測試嘅結果嚟設計茵怡花園，確保單位夠通風同光猛。

為咗減少大廈嘅吸熱，大廈喺天台設置咗擋陽蓬⛱。除咗照明外，太陽嘅熱力亦可以用嚟晾衫，建築師於良好的受光位置及空氣流通處設晾衫架，減少住戶用乾衣機嘅耗電。

部份低層單位外牆裝設石屎擋音板，阻隔將軍澳隧道公路嘅噪音。此外，部份大廈都根據地契要求，後退至寶康路的行人路起計30米或設於庭園之後，加上10米高隔音屏障及花槽🪴，來減少噪音，以達致環保署的噪音🔉標準。

茵怡花園係香港首個環保建築，以嶄新環保嘅建築設計意念，獲香港建築師學會頒發1998年的銀牌獎🥈，同年香港國際機場客運大樓嘅設計都獲得同一獎項。

Also in Po Lam, Verbena Heights is another estate developed by the Hong Kong Housing Society located at 8 Mau Tai Rd. Its first 6 blocks are part of the government-backed Home Ownership Scheme, while the 7th block is used as Rental Estates. Designed by Antony Ng Architects, the estate incorporated considerations for environmental aspects like sunlight🌤, air circulation💨, and noise dampening🔉, by referencing results from solar mapping and wind tunnel modelling during the design process, ensuring the estate doesn’t block too much natural circulation and has adequate sunlight.

To avoid sunlight heating up the indoors, the towers’ roofs are fitted with shielding structures. The towers’ designs placed external drying racks at spots that had good circulation and exposure to sunlight, in hopes of minimizing energy used for drying laundry.🌱

Some of the flats on lower floors are fitted with concrete noise shields🛡 on their outer walls, blocking noise from the nearby TKO Tunnel Road. Also, some of the blocks are placed more than 30m away from Po Hong Road’s sidewalk or after a courtyard🌳, and behind 10m tall noise-shielding walls and planters, all to minimize traffic noise and fulfil the Environmental Protection Department’s noise regulations.

Verbena Heights was Hong Kong’s first environmentally-responsible housing project, which with its innovative environmentally-driven designs, was awarded a Silver Medal🥈by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects in 1998, the same award and year as the renowned Hong Kong Airport Terminal’s design.
